This article is primarily for site managers, but it can also be helpful for agency managers and volunteers who are viewing hours statuses on the volunteer resume, in agency stats, etc.
List of Available Statuses
Your Connect site uses the statuses below for volunteer hours.
|Approved||Volunteer hours have been approved by an agency manager or site manager.|
|Denied||Volunteer hours have been denied by an agency manager or site manager.|
|Pending||Volunteer hours have been submitted and are pending approval by an agency manager or site manager.|
This status appears for two types of hours:
|Inactive||Volunteer hours have been deleted; this status is visible to site managers only.|
|Null||Applies to individual hours (those not associated with a need response on your Connect site). This status shows up as a blank space and is visible to site managers only.|
A site may have one of three setups for volunteer hour submissions:
- Volunteers must submit hours for approval - A volunteer must go through a two-step process to submit hours: (1) Click to submit the hours, and then (2) click to verify the submission. Following this second step, hours are given a status of "Pending" and are sent to the agency manager for approval.
- Hours logged are automatically submitted for approval - The volunteer only needs to click to submit their hours once; no additional verification is needed on the part of the volunteer. Hours are given a status of "Pending" and are then sent to the agency manager for approval.
- Hours logged are automatically approved - Once submitted, the hours are given a status of "Approved"; no action is required on the part of the agency manager.
Note: If hours are submitted by a site manager or an agency manager on behalf of a volunteer, those hours are automatically given a status of "Approved."
